USD/CAD expects a breakout

The USD/CAD pair continues to be maintain its movements in the previously described ascending channel. However, there was a breakout through the lower boundary of the junior channel by the end of US trading session on Tuesday. 

During the Wednesday's trading session, the pair had a period of consolidation due to the fact that traders were still indecisive.  

As for the near future, traders should watch out for a breakout from the rectangle. In addition, technical indicators suggest a mixed signal.
