EUR/USD has been in a clear downtrend since it peaked above 1.20000 earlier this year. After a sharp recent drop, the price is now moving sideways near its lows around 1.15415, which still reflects weakness.



The overall outlook remains negative because the price is trading well below both its short-term and long-term averages, and the short-term average has just crossed below the long-term one, a typical signal that downward momentum may continue.

If the price attempts to rise, it will likely face strong resistance between 1.16500 and 1.16750, with even stronger resistance around 1.18000. On the downside, there is some support at 1.14850, but the key level to watch is 1.14290.
