GBP/USD retreats to 1.2300

On Tuesday, the GBP/USD failed at reaching above 1.2400. The event was followed by a sharp decline, which by 12:30 GMT had reached below 1.2300 and the 200-hour simple moving average.

An extension of the ongoing decline might find support in the 1.2250 level and the weekly S1 simple pivot point at 1.2230. Afterwards, the 1.2200 level could act a support.

On the other hand, a recovery of the Pound against the USD would face resistance in the weekly simple pivot point at 1.2333 and the combination of the 50 and 100-hour simple moving averages near 1.2370.

EUR/USD consolidates below 1.0900

In the aftermath of shortly trading above the 1.0900 mark, the EUR/USD has retreated. On Tuesday the pair was finding support in the 1.0860 level and resistance was provided by 1.0900. In the case of a resumption of the Euro surge against the US Dollar, the pair would have to reach above the 1.0900 mark and the Monday's high level
