AUD/USD decline reaches 0.6800

The AUD/USD rate eventually reached below the support zone near 0.6840 and the weekly S1 simple pivot point at 0.6828. The following decline found support on Thursday morning in the 0.6800 level. The round exchange rate caused a retracement back up. By the middle of the day's trading, the 0.6840 level was confirmed as resistance.

A resumption of the Australian Dollar's decline against the USD would have to pass the support of the 0.6800 level, before the pair looks for support in the weekly S2 simple pivot point at 0.6765. Further below, note the 0.6700 mark.

On the other hand, a potential recovery would need to break the 0.6840/0.6845 zone, the 50 hour SMA near 0.6850, the 100-hour SMA near 0.6875, prior to reaching the combination of the 200-hour SMA and the 0.6900 mark.
