The Euro depreciated against the US Dollar, following the French Flash Manufacturing and Services PMI survey results release on Friday at 07:15 GMT. The EUR/USD exchange currency rate lost 20 pips or 0.17% after the release. The Euro continued trading at the 1.1810 level against the Greenback after the release.
Note that the German Flash Manufacturing and Services PMIs survey results release, that usually causes significant move, provoked only a 10-pip decline.
Markit released the French Flash Services PMI survey results, which came out worse-than-expected of 51.9 compared with the forecast of 56.3.
According to the official release: "Softer activity growth was partially driven by a slower rise in new orders midway through the third quarter. The latest increase in sales was only marginal, with manufacturers posting a slight decline and services firms recording a softer expansion."
