The British Pound traded sideways against the US Dollar, following the UK Flash Manufacturing and Services PMIs survey results release on Thursday at 08:30 GMT. The GBP/USD exchange currency rate gained 5 pips or 0.04% after the release. The Pound continued trading at the 1.2350 level against the Greenback after the release.
Markit released the UK Flash Manufacturing PMI survey results, which came out worse-than-expected of 32.9 compared with the forecast of 42.0.
According to the official release: "Widespread business shutdowns at home and abroad in response to the coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) pandemic unsurprisingly resulted in a rapid reduction in UK private sector output during April."
