The Euro traded sideways against the US Dollar, following the US Non-Manufacturing PMI survey results release on Friday at 14:00 GMT. The EUR/USD exchange currency rate gained 7 pips or 0.06% after the release. The Euro continued trading at the 1.0790 level against the Greenback after the release.
The Institute for Supply Management (ISM) released the US ISM Non-Manufacturing PMI survey results, which came out better-than-expected of 52.5 compared with the forecast of 43.5.
Anthony Nieves, Chair of the ISM Non-Manufacturing Business Survey Committee commented: "The Supplier Deliveries Index registered 62.1 percent, up 9.7 percentage points from the February reading of 52.4 percent, and limited the decrease in the composite NMI. However, the high percentage-point increase in March — the largest monthly change since an 18.5-point decrease in September 1997 — was primarily a product of supply problems related to the coronavirus (COVID-19)."
