AUD/USD: Australian Employment Data Set

The Australian Dollar depreciated against the US Dollar, following the Australian Employment data set release on Thursday at 01:30 GMT. The AUD/USD exchange currency rate lost 34 pips or 0.48% right after the release. The Aussie continued trading at the 0.6915 level against the Greenback.

Australian Bureau of Statistics released the Australian Unemployment Rate data, which came out worse-than-expected of 5.2% compared with forecast 5.0%. Also, the Australian Employment Change data was released at the same time.

Despite the increased unemployment rate, total employment rose 28.4K in March. This number is stronger than the median estimate of 15.2K. Analysts think that the Reserve Bank of Australia is now under pressure, as the jobs market has to improve for the Australian economy to reach its goals.

GBP/USD: UK CPI

The British Pound traded sideways against the US Dollar, following the UK CPI data release on Wednesday at 08:30 GMT. The GBP/USD exchange currency rate lost 10 pips or 0.08% right after the release. The British Pound continued trading at the 1.2670 level against the Greenback.

EUR/USD: US Retail Sales

The European Common currency traded sideways against the US Dollar, following the US Retail Sales data release on Wednesday at 12:30 GMT. The EUR/USD exchange currency rate lost 6 pips or 0.06% right after the release. The Euro continued trading at the 1.1185 level against the Greenback.
