In Q2 2025, SAP's business showed strong growth. Operating cash flow rose 71% to €2.58 billion, and free cash flow increased 83% to €2.36 billion. This was due to higher profits, better working capital, and lower tax and restructuring payments. For the first half of the year, operating cash flow reached €6.36 billion, and free cash flow was €5.94 billion. The company's effective tax rate was lower due to tax-exempt income and previous losses in Germany. SAP has nearly completed its €5 billion share buyback program, repurchasing €4.6 billion worth of shares so far. Its restructuring program, which ended in early 2025, cost €3.2 billion, with most of the payouts already made. SAP continued to gain new cloud customers worldwide and reported especially strong cloud growth in Asia and Europe. The company also extended its partnerships with Accenture, Palantir, and Alibaba to drive innovation in AI and cloud services. CEO Christian Klein's contract was extended to 2030, and CFO Dominik Asam's to 2028.



For 2025, SAP expects cloud revenue to grow up to 28% to around €21.9 billion. Total cloud and software revenue is expected to reach up to €33.6 billion, and operating profit could rise to €10.6 billion. Free cash flow is forecast at about €8 billion. Currency changes may slightly reduce these figures. On the non-financial side, SAP aims to improve employee engagement, customer satisfaction, and reduce its carbon emissions.
