Japanese Yen gains 1.43%

On Friday, August 28, the Japanese Yen appreciated significantly against the US Dollar. The Yen gained 153 pips or 1.43% against the Greenback.  

Most likely, the advance was triggered by an announcement that the Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Ebe decided to resign.  

Abe's successor must take responsibility for the country's economy in the throes of its worst downturn since World War II, as well ensure that next year's Olympics will be held in Tokyo.
