China's consumer sentiment deteriorated in April

Consumer confidence in China deteriorated slightly in April because of rising food prices. The Bankcard Consumer Confidence Index dropped by 0.12% to 86.65 in April, according to Xinhua News Agency and China UnionPay. Rising living costs and higher fuel prices continued to dent consumer confidence. However, measures to curb inflationary pressure and launch of consumption incentives are likely to stabilize the consumer sentiment.

Asian stocks closed mixed on China's and Euro Zone's data

Asian stocks closed mixed on Monday, being pressured by lingering concerns that Greece will leave the Euro Zone. However, China's cut of RRR for banks lent support to the stocks .Hong Kong's Hang Seng Index lost 0.35% while Australian S&P/ASX200 gained 0.09%. Australian house loans jumped by 0.3% last month

Home loans issued in Australia jumped by 0.3% on a seasonally adjusted basis in April as compared to a decline of 2.5% in March, according to Australian Bureau of Statistics.
