Corn slid amid speculation about further price decrease

Rural commodities were mixed on Wednesday amid the Euro Zone's turmoil and favorable weather conditions in the US.

Wheat tumbled as speculation that the US inventories will be higher this season pushed the price down.

Corn was the top-loser after news that corn price is expected to fall during 2012-2013 season to a range between 4 and 5 US Dollars per bushel.

Sugar was flat, remaining near 20-month low. Demand slightly rebounded as buyers of the sweetener from Thailand are paying 1.7 cents premium per pound over the price of the next month contract.

Coffee was almost unchanged as Colombia announced a 11% increase in coffee harvest last month while Brazilian crops are expected to be ample.
