Japanese wages grew 0.6% year-over-year

Japanese total cash wages rose 0.6% year-over-year in May, while in April they increased by 0.7%, thus indicating that employees may be sharing part of the earnings with their workers. According to economists, worker wages rose in the last two months due to negotiations with their employers in the spring of 2015. On average, Japanese firms increased wages by 2.2% or 6,481 yen, compared with a 2.1% rise in 2014.
