Gold rises as stalemate in budget talks persist

Gold jumped on Tuesday increasing for the second straight day and reaching the highest level in a week as talks between Republicans and the U.S. President Barack Obama have not bring any progress. Bullion for delivery in October advanced 0.4% to $1,327.96 an ounce and was traded at $1,325.51 as of 12:35 p.m. Singapore time after the prices grew to $1,329.11 yesterday.
