One in seven Americans lives in poverty

Inequality in the United States continues to expand, even though the economic crisis has passed its bottom point. According to the Census Bureau data, nowadays 15% of all Americans still live in poverty, and from 2007 this rate increased by 2.5%. Moreover, statisticians point out that since 1967 median income for wealthy U.S. citizens increased by 67%, but for middle class Americans it added only 19%.
