Wall Street's main indexes edged higher on Thursday. At 9:43 a.m. ET, the Dow Jones Industrial Average was up by 259.35 points or 0.76%, while the S&P 500 inched higher by 14.50 points or 0.35%.

US weekly unemployment claims hit 14-month low
