On the daily chart, XAU/USD remains in a clear corrective downtrend following its late-August peak near 4,700, trading well below its downward-sloping 20-day SMA (4,233.30) and beneath a descending trendline that continues to cap upside attempts. The market is currently consolidating at an immediate support floor around 4,100–4,115, where candles show small, indecisive bodies. A confirmed daily close below 4,100 would signal bearish continuation toward the primary structural demand zone at 3,960–4,000 (the June–July base), while any short-term relief rally faces strong overhead resistance at 4,200–4,235, requiring a sustained breakout above the 20 SMA to neutralize the prevailing downward bias.
