U.S. stocks post best day this year after jobless claims

Wall Street shares closed higher on Thursday session recording their largest gain in a day so far this year after a report showed that jobless claims in the country declined boosting a confidence in the overall economic situation. The Dow Jones industrial average added 1.22% to 15,628.53, the Standard & Poor's 500 Index gained 1.24% to 1,773.43 and the Nasdaq Composite index rose 1.14% to 4,057.122.
