ISM releases US Services PMI

The Institute for Supply Management has just released the United States Services sector Purchasing Managers Index survey results.

The market consensus forecast was an index of 52.5 that would show an expansion of the sector. The actual survey result has been revealed to be 54.5.

The news caused a surge of the US Dollar due to being better than expected.

The US Bureau of Labor Statistics has published the monthly updated data for Average Hourly Earnings, Non-farm Employment Change and Unemployment Rate. In general, the data was mixed.
