Euro area CPI flash estimate stood at 0.2 percent in the year through December, after an upside revision in November’s reading from 0.1 percent. Analysts had predicted an acceleration to 0.4 percent.
The annual core reading registered 0.9 percent, in line with the previous reading, lower than forecasts of 1.0 percent. euro trade now around 1.0760 .
