Dollar takes a pause yet nears a four-year peak

Despite the small slide on Tuesday, the Dollar is still set for its best year since 2010 and the biggest increase in more than a year. In addition, the Dollar index was at 85.544, quite near the peak of 85.798, last seen in mid-2010. In three months time, the Greenback has added over 7% on the account of Fed speculations on the interest rate increase. Overall, the U.S. economy has been faring well, with increased consumer spending and higher Treasury yields.
