British property prices surpass pre-crisis peak

Housing prices in the United Kingdom jumped 12% during the last year and reached the highest level since 2007, when the pre-crisis peak was marked. While the Bank of England tries to cool the increase in prices, London property became 26% more expensive in June on the annual basis, the biggest advance since 1987. Therefore, the average house price surpassed the 400,000 pounds level.
