Gold Drops in London amid speculation Fed to reduce stimulus

Gold fluctuated in New York as investors considered signs that the Fed will curb monetary stimulus this month, while Obama attempts to get approval to attack Syria. December delivery bullion advanced 0.1% to $1,388.50 as of 10 a.m. on the Comex in New York, while immediate delivery gold soaked 0.2% in London to $1,388.84.

Stocks advance amid China outbound shipments

Equities advanced in the U.S. and emerging markets as Chinese exports climbed. The S&P's 500 Index gained 0.5% to 1,663.08, while the MSCI Emerging Markets Index soared 1.7% as of 10:58 a.m. New York time and the Shanghai Composite Index rose 3.4%. The data showed 7.2% increase in exports, which led to biggest increase in equities in Shanghai this year.
