U.S. payrolls pick up as jobless rate drops

American companies added much more jobs than it was forecasted in June of the current year, raising confidence the country's economy is able to keep the positive growth impetus despite a strong GDP fall in Q1. Payrolls advanced 288,000 in June, putting the total January-June job creation on 1.39 million. Unemployment rate, in turn, decreased to 6.1%, the smallest since September 2008.
