The US Dollar depreciated against the Canadian Dollar, following the Canadian Employment data set release on Friday at 12:30 GMT. The USD/CAD exchange currency rate lost 40 pips or 0.30% after the release. The Greenback continued trading at the 1.3150 level against the Loonie after the release.
Statistics Canada released the Canadian Unemployment Rate data, which came out better-than-expected of 9.0% compared with the forecast of 9.8%.
According to the official release: "There were 1.8 million unemployed Canadians in September, down 214,000 (-10.5%) from August and continuing the four-month downward trend from the record-high 2.6 million unemployed people in May."
