The Statistics Canada released Core Retail Sales data that came out lower-than-expected of negative 0.6% compared to forecast negative 0.4%. Note, that Canadian Retail Sales was released at the same time with the Canadian Core Retail Sales.
The Statistics Canada notes: "Retail sales increased for the third consecutive month in November, rising 0.2% to $50.1 billion. Sales were up in 6 of 11 subsectors, representing 37% of total retail trade. After removing the effects of price changes, retail sales in volume terms increased 0.3%."
