THE TREND IS YOUR FRIEND UNTIL IT ENDS
I must go with the flow, unless both conditions are true:
Price clearly reacted to an important resistence/support
+ There are tecnical ending signs of the current trend
with this in mind, gonna take a weekend look to the US Dollar Index major components
(please click on images to enlarge them, they're big to give "the big picture" which is a large perspective I must focus on)
EUR / USD
This pair made a potential double top on the weekly 1.37 resistence ie the breakout failed two times in a row . This double top can guide us much more below current price if medium-term turn descending, but its too early to better conclusions about his validity also about the target, I must go one step at a time.
For now, it seems that the medium-term uptrend ended after the daily double top, if so price will breakdown the TL and in principle will go at least to the support zone 1.34-1.33, if so must see what happens there.
So, price clearly reacted on a important resistence (made a potencial double top on weekly on 1,37 resistence) + ending signs of the medium-term uptrend (made a double top on daily) = I took a short position
USDJPY
In uptrend on all major timeframes, there are no ending signs. Next important resistence is far away from here at 120.00-124.00 area.
Must go with the flow, i'm waiting a correction to buy.
GBP/USD
In a medium-term uptrend, there are no ending signs. Next resistence area at 1.67-1.70
Must go with the flow, I'm in a long position but I have a tight stop, must be carefull because atm USD is strong.
USD/CAD
Think we are already in a long-term uptrend. atm must monitor the medium-term uptrend which is correcting while price is trying to breakout the resistence 1,0660. No problem as long as the price remains above 1,58.
Must go with the flow, took a long position to purchase this correction.
Well, hope make some green pips next week, will see. Green pips to you all too :-)
