I know this blog post is going to be a little bit off topic but again what a fantastic game we had at Roland Garros Women's Finale.

The only reason I'm writing this blog post is because tennis is one of the most beautiful spots in the world and among few sports I enjoy watching it.

As you may already know the women's final was between Romania's Simona Halep vs Russia's Maria Sharapova.

Although Maria Sharapova is a true champion and a former world Nr.1 winning many grand slam tournaments not many can compare with Simona Halep's performance as she is carrying big momentum behind her making a big jump in the rank, from Nr. 47 at the end of 2012, Nr. 11 at the end of 2013, and it will be rank Nr. 3 behind Serena Williams and Li Na, in the rankings Monday.

There is a strong reason why Halep is 3rd and Sharapova is 7th in the rankings. Simona Halep has won the Roland Garros Junior Championship trophy in 2008 and she has win 7 WTA finals out of 10 finals played in the last year. Also last month we had another Halep vs Sharapova at Madrid Open final but Sharapova proved to be again more stronger.

There are many standing ovations at yesterday's Roland Garros final and many have spoke about this finale as one of the best Grand Slam women's finals in recent memory. Boris Becker said:"what a final ! U made everybody love women's tennis !!!"

I'll have to say that, for me, this particular game carried a lot of emotions and this is mainly because Simona Halep was there, I was like a house on fire with each game played. After the first set I just couldn't watch it anymore for about 5 minute, but came back and felt that this game is quite balanced and anyone could win it, the only think that got between Simona and winning the trophy was the fact that Sharapova has more experience playing a Grand Slam final.

Next grand slam is Wimbledon and you better keep an eye on Simon Halep because you'll definitely hear more from her. I have a strong felling she will do just great.

Don't forget we have another great match to watch the French Open 2014 Men's Final: Rafael Nadal vs Novak Djokovic. Make sure you'll not miss this match because it will be one of a kind. I like Novak Djokovic personality in the field but Rafael Nadal is like a tornado.

Enjoy your Sunday!!!
