Arguments and tensions. Probably, the first words that come into one's mind if asked to describe the highlights of the June Trader contest. During the month we've been witnessing quite intense debates and mutual accusations between the 2 leading contestants and their supporters. Though, the further development of the competition seemed to have resolved the issue by itself, without our intermediation. However, we remind contestants that we expect them to communicate with mutual respect, without provocations and abuses.
It's been the first time since the introduction of the real-time Dukascopy evaluation that we turned to adding subjective Dukascopy bonus points. That was primarily related to the poor quality (absence) of trading comments of the traders ranked 9th-10th. Conversely, that quality was present in the blogs of their closest followers. Basing on this representative example, we remind that keeping your trading reasoned and transparent to others is a factor that is valued in the contest and may lead to rating downgrades at the end of competition if neglected.
In June we've released the long-promised "Private messages" functionality as well as the community members' centralized register. Now you have one more tool for communication, which, we hope, will be popular amongst contestants.
July will bring us an updated evaluation system and extended awards range that now includes 100 USD bonus prizes for contestants placed on 11th-20th positions. Those bonuses will be eligible for a conversion into Live accounts as soon as the accumulated amount reaches 500 USD.
Besides, we are now developing the FX Article contest that is expected to be released on August, 1st .
