The New Zealand Dollar was guided by the 55-hour SMA on Friday which lead the pair towards the 0.6950 area.
However, an hourly plunge later in the session was followed by a period of depreciation as a result of which the Kiwi was trading near the lower boundary of the junior channel circa 0.69.
It is likely that the pair pushes even lower and thus breaches this channel. However, it might subsequently return within the bounds of the given pattern and test the 200– and 100-hour SMAs and the weekly PP circa 0.6930.
Given that the Kiwi has not yet reached the upper boundary of the senior descending channel, it might move towards this line during the following days.
