The New Zealand Dollar has depreciated moderately against the US Dollar since mid-Friday. However, if looking at the pair's movement during the last four trading session, it is apparent that a relatively flat descending channel has been formed.
The rate fell down to a four-week low at 0.7170, while being restricted by the 55– and 100-hour SMA from the upside.
Technical indicators support the rate approaching the upper channel line circa 0.7235—an area likewise reinforced by the weekly PP and the 23.6% Fibonacci retracement.
However, the aforementioned SMAs might provide strong resistance, thus pressuring the rate for a movement sideways or a fall back down to the 0.7130 area.
