In this article we will be discussing the profit making using EMAs on Elliot waves. Most of us are familiar with EMAs but fewer people try to use it with Elliot waves as recognizing the phases of Elliot waves is considered a tedious task. Here I'll try to make it as easy as possible using the 1-2-3-4-5 cycle approach.
Elliot Wave structure
We will now see a brief explanation of Elliot Wave theory's basic structure.
Elliot wave cycle consists of two distinct phases: the impulse phase and the corrective phase. The complete Elliott Wave cycle is made up of 8 waves of which a basic 5 wave impulse sequence is fallowed by a basic 3 wave corrective sequence. The ABC corrective phase represents a correction of the larger impulse phase.
Now this is something which is quite well known but what is never known is when the first leg of Elliott is likely to begin. This is where most of us get frustrated and give up on using the Elliott wave principle. So I worked on it for quite a few days to figure out a best possible use of this well know principle. This article is not about the explaining the Elliott wave theory which is already freely available using google but rather it's a perspective of a…

In my previous articles I explained most essential aspects of price action and its relations to: sentiment, risk-to-reward with money management and liquidity dynamics. That is a necessary context, which has to be considered when trading the sequence.
Most notable price moves are in between entry and exit points of the market movers. While traveling towards the ultimate profit taking point, market movers cash out earlier and re-enter at better price. This precautionary profit taking and re-entry actions occur in the process of risk and money management, also it gives opportunity to squeeze more profits out of the same range.
Areas where these precautionary profit taking and re-entry actions happen are displaced in a certain sequence, which pre-defines the future range.
The sequence is based on Fibonacci numbers with added deviations in between. These deviations represent interchanging risk to reward conditions around Fibonacci numbers. Interestingly enough, these deviations most of the times play more important roles when it comes to reversal of the price movement. Probably in part because of the market mowers need to hide their intentions.
If one puts Fibonacci retracements on som…

In previous article series “Riding the Price action” I stressed that having right technical levels is not enough in order to successfully trade them. Risk-to-reward conditionality, dynamics of liquidity and money management comes to play. Risk and money management might sound boring and well over-escalated topic, but personally I found popular material about this topic all blurry, stereotypic and too formal.
Popularly accepted common approaches of sizing in/out of the total exposure in combination with entry and exit displacement, as risk and money management during the trade are left completely to subjectivity of a person’s choice to pick exact entry and exit points. And most importantly – additional entries after price travels notable distances after rejection/impulse point, generally are high risk in any context.
Actually one can google out more information about money/risk management in gambling context than in trading. If gamblers manage their way out with unfavorable odds, then with a proper technical analysis, trader should have some use out of these principles. Personally I use somewhat similar approach to D'Alembert’s betting system.
Let’s forget all the text-book risk man…

I've seen a trader do similar to what you describe live, taking partial profits and then re entering.  Essentially scalping the position.  It was quite amazing.  I would assume you need to be well versed at price action like you've described in your previous articles in order to be successful at it, almost like trading multiple time frames at the same time.  Very interesting read.

In the first article, I’ve explained various concepts which are critical to understand Volume Spread Analysis. In this article, I’ll continue to explain more insight on VSA as well as simple set-up we can apply to real trading.  We’ve seen every trader has their own way to look at chart, some using candlestick to identify pattern; some using line chart to identify swing high, swing low; some even not looking at chart at all, they argue that fundamental sentiment drive the market, so they follow their fundamental interpretation to make trade decision. For me, I use phases on to define background and trading direction.  In every market, we have two forces which interact and move the price: Supply and Demand. When supply is overwhelming demand, the big player will start distribution phase, after a period of distribution, the sell-off starts and now we have downtrend or mark-down phase.  After a period of sell-off, player will start to lock in profit as well as weak demand step in; price will retrace to 38.2% or 50% Fibonacci levels before it hits supply again and continue its downtrend. We call it re-distribution.   After a period of mark-down, big players start profit-taking as w…

As what we knew, 95% of the trader failed and only 5% have success in dealing with this Forex business. Fortunately, those success people have become a millionaire and some even billionaire. But for some people, we still have a courage to involve in this business even if we knew the barrier and chances of failure is more than to success. Are we able to success in this Forex Business??The answer is definitely YES,and to bear in mind, we must have set a view and everything on us like those 5% success's people had. If we are able to start thinking and  have all those succeed quality, of course we are welcomed in this most stress and profitable business in this world. Surely, among this 5% success people, are divided into few different types because on every currency's movement indicate different meaning depends on their interest. We can divide it into three different categories such as :1) Leader of CountryIt needs to manage the currency well and not let it raise too high. This is to avoid from loosing the buyer to buy any products from it's country if the price become too expensive. If the currency become too high and cost all expensive products, of course they will go for another co…
