The US Dollar has been trading in a five-month channel down against the Swedish Krona. The upper boundary of this pattern was tested in early March when the pair reversed from the 8.30 area.
The US Dollar has since formed a junior ascending channel. In case the boundaries of this pattern are respected, the rate should decline down to its lower line, the monthly PP and the 100-period SMA or the 38.20% Fibo at 8.15 and 8.10, respectively, during the following week. Technical indicators support this bearish scenario. In terms of resistance, the pair is limited by the senior channel and the 61.80% Fibo near the 8.25 mark.
By and large, this bearish movement should be soon followed by a breakout of the senior channel and a subsequent surge in the medium and even long term.
