Moncler stock declines in channel

The Italian luxury fashion brand Moncler experienced a spectacular start of 2024, as consumers continued to buy luxury goods. However, the situation changed in late March, as the firm reported bad quarterly results. In the meantime, the environment had shifted, as high prices forced consumers to switch to other brands.

From a technical analysis perspective, the stock price has been declining in a channel down pattern. Meanwhile, the rate respects the daily simple moving averages and certain round price levels. For example, support and resistance has been found in the 62.00 EUR mark and the 58.50 EUR level.

In regards to the future, the price might be pushed down by the channel further, as its upper trend line is expected to be strengthened by the 50-day simple moving average. A potential further decline would have to pass the support of the 56.00 EUR level, before eventually reaching the 2024 low level at 50.30 EUR.

On the other hand, a recovery of the demand for the firm's goods could eventually result in a surge of the stock price and breaking of the channel. It is highly likely that round price levels and the moving averages will act as resistance. Most notably, take into account the mentioned 58.50 and 62.00 levels.
