AUD/USD pierces February high level

This week, the AUD/USD passed the resistance zone at 0.7245/0.7250 and confirmed it as support, before starting a surge. The follow up surge passed above the weekly R1 simple pivot point at 0.7282 and the previous February high level zone at 0.7282/0.7285.

A continuation of the surge of the Australian Dollar against the USD might find resistance in the 0.7300 mark. Higher above, note the 0.7315 mark, which represents the January high level.

Meanwhile, a potential decline of the rate would look for support inn the 0.7245/0.7250 zone, before touching the lower trend line of the channel up pattern near 0.7240. Further below, take into account the 50 and 200-hour simple moving averages near 0.7230 and 0.7210.
