USD/CAD recovers in 2022

At the start of the year of 2022, the USD/CAD currency exchange rate found support at 1.2620 and began a recovery. However, on Tuesday, it appeared that the rate was about to be squeezed in between the resistance of the 200-hour simple moving average and the weekly R1 simple pivot point near 1.2780 and the support of the 50-hour SMA and the weekly simple pivot point near 1.2700. In addition, a previous low and high level zone was locate at 1.2710/1.2730.

A potential surge above 1.2780 might find resistance in the 1.2800 mark, before aiming at the resistance zone at 1.2830/1.2850.

Meanwhile, a decline of the USD against the CAD could look for support in the 1.2650 level, prior to reaching the 1.2595/1.2620 zone.
