The common European currency is trading against the Canadian Dollar simultaneously in a medium-term descending and short-term ascending channels. The junior pattern represents a resumption of the surge after a 282-pip appreciation of the Loonie. By the moment, the currency pair is trying to reach the upper trend-line of the senior channel. However, the road upstairs is blocked by a combination of the 20-hour SMA, the weekly PP at 1.4598 and the monthly S1 at 1.4608. This barrier most likely is going to push the rate out of the junior formation. On the other hand, a premature rebound might be triggered even earlier by the 55-period SMA at 1.4568. A realization of one of these scenarios would be also a sign of transformation of the dominant channel into a symmetrical triangle.
