By initially looking at the US Dollar against the South African Rand currency exchange rate once first spots the ascending channel pattern. However, the channel does not provide the required information to make a responsible decision in regard to the pair. The reason for that is the fact that the currency pair is on a larger scale trading in a triangle pattern. The ascending channel is just a representation of the Greenbacks rebound against the lower trend line of the triangle pattern. Due to this fact market participants can expect a breakout either to the upside or downside. Meanwhile, while looking at the larger scale of the pair, it can be observed that the pair is likely going to break out to the downside, as the pair is moving lower in a large scale pattern.
