Copper drops from 2-week high as Chinese growth slows

Copper retreated from the highest level in two weeks on concern that economic growth is slowing and premium risks are going up in the biggest user - China, while global supplies are constantly increasing. The metal for June delivery on the LME slipped 0.7% to $6,554.25 a metric ton and was little changed at $6,574 as of 10:41 a.m. in Tokyo. The metal rallied as much as 2.3% throughout Tuesday trading session, the largest loss since early February, to $6,623.75.
