Chinese stocks swung between gains and losses after the People's Bank of China raised its rate on the local currency against the U.S. Dollar and after an industry report showed that factory output in the country advanced 10% in November. The Shanghai Composite index added 0.1%, the Hang Seng index fell 0.2% and the Hang Seng China Enterprises Index slipped 0.4%.
