WTI is little changed amid more progress in budget talks

West Texas Intermediate oil fluctuated on Wednesday trading session amid signs that the U.S. deadlock might come to an end as policymakers took further steps in order to agree on the new debt ceiling. November WTI futures were little changed at $103.51 a barrel, up 2 cents on the NYMEX as of 12:24 p.m. in Singapore after the prices advanced 46 cents to $103.49 yesterday.

Japan's machine tool orders drop in September as export demand falls

Machine tool orders in the Asian second-largest economy fell on an annual basis in September mainly due to a steep drop in export demand, the Japan Machine Tool Builders' Association reported on Wednesday. The report showed that the total figure of machine tool orders slipped 6.3% in September as the export market orders declined 23.4% in same the month.
