Current account deficit of South Africa decreased from ZAR 215 billion in the Q3 to ZAR 212.6 billion in the last three months of 2012, the report released by the South African Reserve Bank showed on Tuesday. The current account deficit for the whole 2012 was 6.3% of gross domestic product compared to 3.4% the year before, while the trade deficit changed to ZAR 86.1 billion in the Q4 from ZAR 87.3 billion the prior quarter.
