The British Sterling strengthened on Thursday rising to the strongest level in four weeks versus the U.S. Dollar after the U.K. government report showed a notable increase in retail sales in the month of September. The Pound added 0.7% to $1.6064 as of 9:40 a.m. in London, the largest advance since September 18, following a drop to the lowest in a month at $1.5894 yesterday.
