Asian shares gained for the second straight day on Tuesday as the Japanese benchmark index Topix erased losses since 2008's Lehman Brothers collapse and as the Reserve Bank of Australia lowered the benchmark cash-rate by 0.25% and the ECB will cut the interest rate in case there will be no signs of improvement in the economy. The MSCI Asia Pacific jumped 1.1% to 141.87 at 1:52 p.m. Tokyo time.
