UK GDP rises

In the three months to September 2025, UK GDP grew by 0.1%, easing from 0.2% in the three months to August. Services output rose by 0.2%, down from 0.3%, while production output fell by 0.5% after a 0.1% decline previously. Construction output increased by 0.1%, compared with 0.4% in August.



In the month of September 2025, GDP fell by 0.1%, following no growth in August. Production dropped by 2.0%, mainly due to a 28.6% fall in motor vehicle manufacturing, which reduced GDP by 0.17 percentage points. Services and construction both grew by 0.2% during the month.
