NVIDIA Reports Record $215.9 Billion Revenue as AI Data Center Boom Drives Explosive Growth

NVIDIA just reported one of the biggest financial performances in tech history. Over the full year, the company made $215.9 billion, which is 65% more than the year before. In the most recent quarter alone, it generated $68.1 billion, up 73% compared to the same time last year. Because of this strong performance, NVIDIA returned $41.1 billion to shareholders through stock buybacks and dividends.

The company also introduced new technology to stay ahead. Its upcoming Rubin platform includes six new chips designed to make running AI up to 10 times cheaper than current Blackwell chips. NVIDIA also announced Blackwell Ultra, an upgraded chip that can deliver up to 50 times better performance for advanced AI tasks compared to older systems.



The main reason for this explosive growth is its Data Center business, which brought in $62.3 billion in just one quarter. Demand is being driven by the rapid adoption of artificial intelligence. CEO Jensen Huang says we are at an "agentic AI" turning point, meaning companies are racing to build AI systems that can act independently and complete tasks on their own. Businesses are building what he calls "AI factories," and they need NVIDIA's powerful chips to do it.

Partnerships are playing a huge role in this growth. Meta signed a large multi-year deal to deploy millions of NVIDIA's Blackwell and Rubin chips. Major cloud providers like Amazon, Google, Microsoft, and Oracle will also use the new Rubin chips in their cloud platforms. NVIDIA is also expanding its partnership with CoreWeave to build large-scale AI data centers capable of producing over 5 gigawatts of power by 2030.

Outside of data centers, the rest of the company is growing too. Gaming brought in $3.7 billion for the quarter, up 47% from last year. Professional visualization, which focuses on graphics tools for businesses, generated $1.3 billion, a massive 159% increase. The automotive and robotics division made $604 million, supported by partnerships with companies like Mercedes-Benz and Boston Dynamics.

Looking ahead, NVIDIA expects growth to continue and predicts it will generate about $78 billion in revenue next quarter. Notably, the company expects to achieve this without relying on any data center computing sales from China.
