Eurozone current account declined more than expected
European Central Bank reported on
Monday that Eurozone current account fell to a seasonally adjusted
figure of EUR9.7 billion in July. There was a surplus for goods
(EUR7.5 billion), services (EUR6.2 billion), and income (EUR 1.7
billion), whereas there was a deficit in current transfers (EUR5.8
billion). Analysts expected that the current account would fall to
EUR10.9 billion.
