Most Russian equities edged higher on Wednesday on soaring crude oil. However, the gains were capped by Consumer goods and services  that stayed unchanged on concerns the U.S. lawmakers will fail to reach a budget deal until the deadline. The Micex Index advanced 0.2% to 1,475.79 by 3:45 p.m. in Moscow. The index has advanced 5.3% so far this year. All but one sector gained within the index. Among biggest gainers were AK Transneft, VSPMO-AVISMA Corp and Tatneft OAO, up 2.60%, 1.61% and 1.41%, respectively.  In addition, OAO Inter RAQ UES surged 1.7% extending gains for the second day, as Vladimir Putin requested the government to speed up state holding company Rosneftegaz's acquisition of OAO Irkutskenergo. RAO's stake is valued at around 50 billion rubbles. Meanwhile, the worst performing companies were M Video OJSC, PIK Group and DIXY Group OJSC by losing 0.64%, 0.52% and 0.50%, respectively.
