Natural gas futures grew for a second day in New York as winter storm in the U.S. might increase demand for heating and Russia treated to invade Ukraine, its main conduit for gas supplies to Europe. Gas for April delivery advanced 2.8% to $4.736 per one mil of Btu on the NYMEX and was little changed as of $4.701 at 1:20 p.m. Singapore time. The contract gained 2.2%, it reached $4.609 on the last day of February, reducing its decline for February to 6.8%.
