"The last week or so has seen a gradual recovery for stock markets and it does feel as if shares in London could grind out a few more gains to the upside over the week"

U.K. stocks edged slightly higher on Monday as polls in Greece showed rising support for pro-bailout parties.
The benchmark FTSE 100 Index gained 0.09%, or 4.81 points, to 5,356.34. The FTSE All-Share Index added 0.20%, or 5.48 points, to 2,781.34.
"The last week or so has seen a gradual recovery for stock markets and it does feel as if shares in London could grind out a few more gains to the upside over the week," said David Jones, chief market strategist at IG Index in London.
Still, "the reaction to poll results may be seen as a little fickle and we have got used to any positive news quickly getting swamped by the next tranche of disappointment."
